“Hope deferred makes the heart sick…” — and I definitely felt that today.
But here’s what I reminded myself:
We can’t control life’s disruptions.
What we can control is how we respond.
So I decided to make the most of it:
✅ Got my steps in walking the terminal
🍽️ Enjoyed a great dinner
🎹 Finally watched the Billy Joel documentary I’d been meaning to see
🤝 And maybe best of all—I connected with fellow travelers who were also delayed. We shared stories, frustrations, and even a few laughs… and in the process, I made new friendships and business connections.
Funny how shared troubles can become shared moments of connection.
If you’re facing delays, disruptions or disturbances —travel or otherwise—here’s my Sunday thought:
👉 Reframe the moment
👉 Stay open to enjoyment and connection
👉 Use the pause to grow, not just wait
You may not change your circumstances, but you can change your experience.
Wheels up soon to New Orleans… with a better mindset, a full heart, and a few new friends.
Found the Billy Joel documentary to be very interesting.
On the bright side, you were in the airport and not stuck on the tarmac.
Have a great show !!
